Kandy is a famous city in Sri Lanka .It is situated in the central province. Kandy is a historic city. It is the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.The historic temple of the tooth is situated in Kandy. Many tourists visit this place. The climate of the area is also cold. So many people like to visit the city.

Time is a precious thing. It is a free force. Time and age go hand in hand. It does not wait for anyone; we must make best use of time because lost time is worse than lost money. We must not postpone our work. We must plan our work for better management of time. Nobody can control time. But we can control how time is used. We must understand the value of time and make best use of it.

They are versatile. They give us for our survival. Food is given to us in the Trees are many things we want form of nuts, flowers, leaves, yams etc. Not only that oxygen and fresh air. They maintain the rainfall. Our environment is beautified by trees. They can give shade and stop soil erosion. Can you imagine a world without trees? It is impossible.

Healthy food means that we must take a balanced diet. bevi Eating a balanced diet is very important. A healthy odo food includes nutrient carbohydrate, proteins, fats, An vitamins and minerals are very essential for a healthy food. Therefore, when we go to the market, we must choose fresh vegetables, meat and fish for our daily meal. But some people addict to eat short eats, instant food and various harmful drinks. It is bad. We must keep in our mind that healthy foods keep our body and mind healthly.

My favourite T.V.programme is a teledrama. It is "Batti".It is telecast in the channel ITN at 8.30 p.m. every day except weekends. This is a production of Vineetha Jayasekara.Adiriyan,Meril and Artihamu are my favourite characters. This story is woven around a middle class family and it shows the conflicts among the family members while the elders are trying to keep their dignity. It highlights a breakdown of a middle class family.

 My favourite sportsman is Kumara Sangakkara.He is of foremost cricketers who has received international acclaim. He was born on 27" October one 1977.Sangakkara is one of the most important nn members in the team that won the 2014 worldT-20 as well as the team that made the final to the 2017 world Incacup and the 2012 world T 20. He captained the national team from 2008 to 2011 stepping down after the 2011world cup finals. The same year, he was named the ODI cricketer of the year the ICC cricket award ceremony. I like him very much.

My favourite story book is "MadolDoova".It was mn written by the greatest writer Mr. Martin Wikkramasinghe.This is a story of rural boy hood. The main characters of this story are Upali and Jinna. The story shows the adventure of these two boys vividly through many episodes. "The vaddha game"and "The confidence trick" are my favourite episodes.However,I like this story which is so related to our natural life.

I like to be a pilot. But my dream of being a pilot not an easy task. Before being a pilot, I have to study hard according to the relevant subjects and I also have to undergo a period of hard training. I also have many opportunities to go to various countries and meet different people there. So I believe that being a pilot is a good fortune. Therefore it is my ambition to become pilot in a day and to serve my mother country.

Reading is a valuable hobby and main way of gathering knowledge. We read many things for various purposes. Such as exam, fun and gathering knowledge. We read books, magazines, journals, newspapers, fictions etc. The people who read books like walking libraries. They have sound knowledge about various fields. Somebody does that as a time pass activity. That's why it says "reading makes a full man".

I help my parents when I am free. After finishing my How I help my parents scrape coconut and I cut vegetables for her. Sometimes I go to the garden with my father. Then I water vegetable plants and I help my father to pluck fruits. At weekends I clean the house and the garden. That is how I help my parents.

During our school life, we are often attracted by our teachers. We are interested in their kindness, affection and the way they teach us lesson. However we love almost all our teachers. Among them, one teacher I specially respect, that is our English teacher. He is Mr.Priyantha.He is a young teacher. He is very simple person. He is a talented teacher. He can teach difficult lesson very easily therefore children love him very much.

If I were the head prefect of my school, I would serve my school the best I could. I would be role model for other students. Then I would go to school every day. I would be loyal to the principal and the staff. I would well. Then I would start a project to do my duties very help the needy children in our school together with other students. I would never be an arrogant student. would be a very humble student.
